I now have been playing Renaissance Kingdoms for a couple months now and my character has been developing very well. I have reached the second level and am working towards level three, a citizen. I have a field which I hire someone else to harvest for me and when I make level three I can work towards further specialization.
If you are looking for a distraction Renaissance Kingdoms is a great on line browser game. Usually you can get things in line with fifteen minutes of time in the morning or night.

Image by rasudduth via FlickrI have started my nine week training course this week. I had previously thought I would have no connectivity while here but HERE I am! I still won’t have much time to post as frequently as I hope but I am sure I will be able to at least twice per week! Have fun, be safe and happy blogging. Look for some posts to follow!

Thought I would just poke my head in so to have posted something this month! I leave for my training in 14 days and depending on the internet situation I may or may not be posting anything for 9 weeks!
Anyhow….
I saw an interesting news story while at the gym the other day. It was talking about the concept of Hypermiling. Our in my case here in Canada Hyperkilometreing? Basically it is how to suck every last dime out of your gas tank by employing, in addition to a few other things, strategic driving techniques. I tried some of them on the way home that day and trust me when I say it would take some getting use to! Hypermiling lost me when I learned I couldn’t use the air conditioning! Browser Game Addiction!

I recently have spent endless hours playing browser games. Browser games are that which you do not have to install on your computer to play and they run in real time via the web. Meaning, while you work and sleep the game is still running. What I have enjoyed about the games (below) that I have been playing is that it takes a very long time to do anything. Confusing? Not really. It simply means that instead of sitting an playing for hours on end until the game reaches its end you play for short intervals over a long period of time. I usually set things in motion before going to work, play a little during the evening and again put some things into motion over night. After that, the game keeps running. These are the games I am playing right now.

For $9,995, Your Car Could Run on Sugar and Tequila?

With gas prices soaring and having two cars I found this article very interesting. Add that to the fact that I don’t drink alcohol I really could put the alcohol laying around my house from years ago to good use! The only thing I would have to figure out is where to get 10k and where to store the darned thing! The EFuel100 MicroFueler is a very interesting idea and it makes me hopeful of future technologies to come.
“What is it, exactly? It’s a home ethanol refinery. Connect it to a power source and a water source, add sugar “feedstock” and yeast or discarded alcohol (yes, that could mean last week’s tequila) and in a week it can produce 35 gallons of ethanol that Quinn said any car can run on.
